;XIV 75 p. 657 E: μνημονεύει δ’ αὐτῶν (sc. τῶν περνῶν), Στράβων ἐν τρίτηι Γεωγραφουμένων (4, 11), ἀνὴρ οὐ πάνυ νεώτερος· λέγει γὰρ αὐτὸν ἐν τῆι ἑβδόμηι, τῆς αὐτῆς πραγματείας ἐγνωκέναι Ποσειδώνιον ... οὗ πολλάκις ἐμεμνήμεθα συγγενομένου Σκιπίωνι τῶι τὴν Καρχηδόνα ἑλόντι.

;XIV 75, p. 657 E: Strabo, a man not much younger, mentions them (that is, the pernae) in the third book of his Geography (4, 11); for in the seventh book of the same work he says that he knew Posidonius ... whom we have mentioned many times as having associated with Scipio, the conqueror of Carthage.
