Haec omnia mores spectant; itaque suo loco posita sunt. At quae a dialecticis contra hanc opinionem dicuntur, segreganda fuerunt et ideo seposita sunt. Nunc, quia omnia exigis, omnia quae dicunt persequar, deinde singulis occurram.

» Tout ceci est de la morale : aussi l’ai-je placé en son lieu. Quant à ce que disent contre cette opinion les dialecticiens, je devais le réserver et je l’ai fait. Maintenant que tu veux le tout ensemble, j’exposerai leurs arguments en bloc pour y répondre ensuite en détail.

All these things have a view to conduct, and therefore they have been inserted under the proper topic. But the remarks of dialecticians in opposition to this idea had to be sifted out, and were accordingly laid aside. Now that you demand an answer to them all, I shall examine all their statements, and then refute them singly.
