## Passage 5.40

### English

It is thought that in a trine configuration a maleficent star configured with a beneficent one becomes helpful and much more beneficent, while a beneficent star with another beneficent star is merely mild, and likewise a maleficent star with a maleficent one. In a square configuration the reverse holds. Stars are called angular when observed at one of the centers, namely at the Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant, or Anti-Midheaven.
