Deutéronome Chapitre 10

1. בָּעֵ֨ת הַהִ֜וא אָמַ֧ר יְהוָ֣ה אֵלַ֗י פְּסָל־לְךָ֞ שְׁנֵֽי־לֻוחֹ֤ת אֲבָנִים֙ כָּרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ים וַעֲלֵ֥ה אֵלַ֖י הָהָ֑רָה וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ לְּךָ֖ אֲר֥וֹן עֵֽץ׃
2. וְאֶכְתֹּב֙ עַל־הַלֻּחֹ֔ת אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָי֛וּ עַל־הַלֻּחֹ֥ת הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר שִׁבַּ֑רְתָּ וְשַׂמְתָּ֖ם בָּאָרֽוֹן׃
3. וָאַ֤עַשׂ אֲרוֹן֙ עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֔ים וָאֶפְסֹ֛ל שְׁנֵי־לֻחֹ֥ת אֲבָנִ֖ים כָּרִאשֹׁנִ֑ים וָאַ֣עַל הָהָ֔רָה וּשְׁנֵ֥י הַלֻּחֹ֖ת בְּיָדִֽי׃
4. וַיִּכְתֹּ֨ב עַֽל־הַלֻּחֹ֜ת כַּמִּכְתָּ֣ב הָרִאשׁ֗וֹן אֵ֚ת עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּר֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֲלֵיכֶ֥ם בָּהָ֛ר מִתּ֥וֹךְ הָאֵ֖שׁ בְּי֣וֹם הַקָּהָ֑ל וַיִּתְּנֵ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה אֵלָֽי׃
5. וָאֵ֗פֶן וָֽאֵרֵד֙ מִן־הָהָ֔ר וָֽאָשִׂם֙ אֶת־הַלֻּחֹ֔ת בָּאָר֖וֹן אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֑יתִי וַיִּ֣הְיוּ שָׁ֔ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוַּ֖נִי יְהוָֽה׃
6. וּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל נָֽסְע֛וּ מִבְּאֵרֹ֥ת בְּנֵי־יַעֲקָ֖ן מוֹסֵרָ֑ה שָׁ֣ם מֵ֤ת אַהֲרֹן֙ וַיִּקָּבֵ֣ר שָׁ֔ם וַיְכַהֵ֛ן אֶלְעָזָ֥ר בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
7. מִשָּׁ֥ם נָסְע֖וּ הַגֻּדְגֹּ֑דָה וּמִן־הַגֻּדְגֹּ֣דָה יָטְבָ֔תָה אֶ֖רֶץ נַ֥חֲלֵי מָֽיִם׃
8. בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֗וא הִבְדִּ֤יל יְהוָה֙ אֶת־שֵׁ֣בֶט הַלֵּוִ֔י לָשֵׂ֖את אֶת־אֲר֣וֹן בְּרִית־יְהוָ֑ה לַעֲמֹד֩ לִפְנֵ֨י יְהוָ֤ה לְשָֽׁרְתוֹ֙ וּלְבָרֵ֣ךְ בִּשְׁמ֔וֹ עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
9. עַל־כֵּ֞ן לֹֽא־הָיָ֧ה לְלֵוִ֛י חֵ֥לֶק וְנַחֲלָ֖ה עִם־אֶחָ֑יו יְהוָה֙ ה֣וּא נַחֲלָת֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבֶּ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ לֽוֹ׃
10. וְאָנֹכִ֞י עָמַ֣דְתִּי בָהָ֗ר כַּיָּמִים֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ים אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֔וֹם וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים לָ֑יְלָה וַיִּשְׁמַ֨ע יְהוָ֜ה אֵלַ֗י גַּ֚ם בַּפַּ֣עַם הַהִ֔וא לֹא־אָבָ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה הַשְׁחִיתֶֽךָ׃
11. וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י ק֛וּם לֵ֥ךְ לְמַסַּ֖ע לִפְנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם וְיָבֹ֨אוּ֙ וְיִֽרְשׁ֣וּ אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֥עְתִּי לַאֲבֹתָ֖ם לָתֵ֥ת לָהֶֽם׃ פ
12. וְעַתָּה֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מָ֚ה יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ שֹׁאֵ֖ל מֵעִמָּ֑ךְ כִּ֣י אִם־לְ֠יִרְאָה אֶת־יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ לָלֶ֤כֶת בְּכָל־דְּרָכָיו֙ וּלְאַהֲבָ֣ה אֹת֔וֹ וְלַֽעֲבֹד֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ בְּכָל־לְבָבְךָ֖ וּבְכָל־נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃
13. לִשְׁמֹ֞ר אֶת־מִצְוֺ֤ת יְהוָה֙ וְאֶת־חֻקֹּתָ֔יו אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י מְצַוְּךָ֖ הַיּ֑וֹם לְט֖וֹב לָֽךְ׃
14. הֵ֚ן לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וּשְׁמֵ֣י הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם הָאָ֖רֶץ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּֽהּ׃
15. רַ֧ק בַּאֲבֹתֶ֛יךָ חָשַׁ֥ק יְהוָ֖ה לְאַהֲבָ֣ה אוֹתָ֑ם וַיִּבְחַ֞ר בְּזַרְעָ֣ם אַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם בָּכֶ֛ם מִכָּל־הָעַמִּ֖ים כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּה׃
16. וּמַלְתֶּ֕ם אֵ֖ת עָרְלַ֣ת לְבַבְכֶ֑ם וְעָ֨רְפְּכֶ֔ם לֹ֥א תַקְשׁ֖וּ עֽוֹד׃
17. כִּ֚י יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם ה֚וּא אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים וַאֲדֹנֵ֖י הָאֲדֹנִ֑ים הָאֵ֨ל הַגָּדֹ֤ל הַגִּבֹּר֙ וְהַנּוֹרָ֔א אֲשֶׁר֙ לֹא־יִשָּׂ֣א פָנִ֔ים וְלֹ֥א יִקַּ֖ח שֹֽׁחַד׃
18. עֹשֶׂ֛ה מִשְׁפַּ֥ט יָת֖וֹם וְאַלְמָנָ֑ה וְאֹהֵ֣ב גֵּ֔ר לָ֥תֶת ל֖וֹ לֶ֥חֶם וְשִׂמְלָֽה׃
19. וַאֲהַבְתֶּ֖ם אֶת־הַגֵּ֑ר כִּֽי־גֵרִ֥ים הֱיִיתֶ֖ם בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
20. אֶת־יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ תִּירָ֖א אֹת֣וֹ תַעֲבֹ֑ד וּב֣וֹ תִדְבָּ֔ק וּבִשְׁמ֖וֹ תִּשָּׁבֵֽעַ׃
21. ה֥וּא תְהִלָּתְךָ֖ וְה֣וּא אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֣ה אִתְּךָ֗ אֶת־הַגְּדֹלֹ֤ת וְאֶת־הַנּֽוֹרָאֹת֙ הָאֵ֔לֶּה אֲשֶׁ֥ר רָא֖וּ עֵינֶֽיךָ׃
22. בְּשִׁבְעִ֣ים נֶ֔פֶשׁ יָרְד֥וּ אֲבֹתֶ֖יךָ מִצְרָ֑יְמָהּ וְעַתָּ֗ה שָֽׂמְךָ֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ כְּכוֹכְבֵ֥י הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם לָרֹֽב׃

1. En ce temps-là, Yahwehme dit : Taille-toi deux tables de pierre, comme les premières, et monte vers moi sur la montagne ; tu feras aussi une arche de bois.
2. J’écrirais sur ces tables les paroles qui étaient sur les premières tables, que tu as brisées, et tu les mettras dans l’arche.
3. Je fis une arche de bois d’acacia et, ayant taillé deux tables de pierre comme les premières, je montai sur la montagne, les deux tables dans ma main.
4. Il écrivit sur ces tables ce qui avait été écrit sur les premières, les dix paroles que Yahwehvous avait dites sur la montagne, du milieu du feu, le jour de l’assemblée ; et Yahwehme les donna.
5. Je me tournai et, étant descendu de la montagne, je mis les tables dans l’arche que j’avais faite, et elles y sont restées, comme Yahwehme l’avait ordonné.
6. Les enfants d’Israël partirent de Béeroth-Bené-Jakan pour Moséra. Là mourut Aaron, et il y fut enterré ; Eléazar, son fils, fut grand prêtre à sa place.
7. De là ils partirent pour Gadgad, et de Gadgad pour Jétébatha, pays riche en cours d’eaux.
8. En ce temps-là, Yahwehsépara la tribu de Lévi, pour porter l’arche de l’alliance de Yahweh, pour se tenir devant Yahweh, pour le servir et pour bénir en son nom : ce qu’elle a fait jusqu’à ce jour.
9. C’est pourquoi Lévi n’a ni part ni héritage avec ses frères : c’est Yahwehqui est son héritage, comme Yahweh, ton Dieu, le lui a dit.
10. Je me tins sur la montagne, comme précédemment, quarante jours et quarante nuits, et Yahwehm’exauça encore cette fois : Yahwehne voulut pas te détruire.
11. Yahwehme dit : « Lève-toi, va te mettre à la tête du peuple ; qu’ils entrent et qu’ils prennent possession du pays que j’ai juré à leurs pères de leur donner. »
12. Et maintenant, Israël, que demande de toi Yahweh, ton Dieu, si ce n’est que tu craignes Yahweh, ton Dieu, en marchant dans toutes ses voies, en aimant et en servant Yahweh, ton Dieu, de tout ton cœur et de toute ton âme,
13. en observant les commandements de Yahwehet ses lois que je te prescris aujourd’hui, afin que tu sois heureux ?
14. Vois ! A Yahweh, ton Dieu, appartiennent le ciel et le ciel des cieux, la terre et tout ce qu’elle renferme.
15. Et c’est à tes pères seulement que Yahwehs’est attaché pour les aimer ; et c’est leur postérité après eux, c’est vous qu’il a choisi d’entre tous les peuples, comme vous le voyez aujourd’hui.
16. Circoncisez donc votre cœur et ne raidissez plus votre cou.
17. Car Yahweh, votre Dieu, est le Dieu des dieux, le Seigneur des seigneurs, le Dieu grand, fort et terrible, qui ne fait pas acception des personnes et qui ne reçoit pas de présent,
18. qui fait droit à l’orphelin et à la veuve, qui aime l’étranger et lui donne de la nourriture et des vêtements.
19. Vous aimerez l’étranger, car vous avez été étrangers dans le pays d’Égypte.
20. Tu craindras Yahweh, ton Dieu, tu le serviras, tu t’attacheras à lui, et tu jureras par son nom.
21. Il est ta louange, il est ton Dieu ; c’est lui qui a fait pour toi ces choses grandes et terribles que tes yeux ont vues.
22. Tes pères descendirent en Égypte au nombre de soixante-dix personnes, et maintenant Yahweh, ton Dieu, a fait de toi une multitude comme les étoiles du ciel.

1. At that time the LORD said to me, “Cut two stone tablets like the first, and come up to me onto the mountain, and make an ark of wood.
2. I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark.”
3. So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut two stone tablets like the first, and went up onto the mountain, having the two tablets in my hand.
4. He wrote on the tablets, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spoke to you on the mountain out of the middle of the fire in the day of the assembly; and the LORD gave them to me.
5. I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are as the LORD commanded me.
6. (The children of Israel traveled from Beeroth Bene Jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his place.
7. From there they traveled to Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.
8. At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of the LORD’s covenant, to stand before the LORD to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.
9. Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brothers; the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD your God spoke to him.)
10. I stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD listened to me that time also. The LORD would not destroy you.
11. The LORD said to me, “Arise, take your journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers to give to them.”
12. Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
13. to keep the LORD’s commandments and statutes, which I command you today for your good?
14. Behold, to the LORD your God belongs heaven, the heaven of heavens, and the earth, with all that is therein.
15. Only the LORD had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their offspring after them, even you above all peoples, as it is today.
16. Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.
17. For the LORD your God, he is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn’t respect persons or take bribes.
18. He executes justice for the fatherless and widow and loves the foreigner in giving him food and clothing.
19. Therefore love the foreigner, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
20. You shall fear the LORD your God. You shall serve him. You shall cling to him, and you shall swear by his name.
21. He is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen.
22. Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons; and now the LORD your God has made you as the stars of the sky for multitude.
