Deutéronome Chapitre 23

1. לֹא־יִקַּ֥ח אִ֖ישׁ אֶת־אֵ֣שֶׁת אָבִ֑יו וְלֹ֥א יְגַלֶּ֖ה כְּנַ֥ף אָבִֽיו׃ ס
2. לֹֽא־יָבֹ֧א פְצֽוּעַ־דַּכָּ֛א וּכְר֥וּת שָׁפְכָ֖ה בִּקְהַ֥ל יְהוָֽה׃ ס
3. לֹא־יָבֹ֥א מַמְזֵ֖ר בִּקְהַ֣ל יְהוָ֑ה גַּ֚ם דּ֣וֹר עֲשִׂירִ֔י לֹא־יָ֥בֹא ל֖וֹ בִּקְהַ֥ל יְהוָֽה׃ ס
4. לֹֽא־יָבֹ֧א עַמּוֹנִ֛י וּמוֹאָבִ֖י בִּקְהַ֣ל יְהוָ֑ה גַּ֚ם דּ֣וֹר עֲשִׂירִ֔י לֹא־יָבֹ֥א לָהֶ֛ם בִּקְהַ֥ל יְהוָ֖ה עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃
5. עַל־דְּבַ֞ר אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא־קִדְּמ֤וּ אֶתְכֶם֙ בַּלֶּ֣חֶם וּבַמַּ֔יִם בַּדֶּ֖רֶךְ בְּצֵאתְכֶ֣ם מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם וַאֲשֶׁר֩ שָׂכַ֨ר עָלֶ֜יךָ אֶת־בִּלְעָ֣ם בֶּן־בְּע֗וֹר מִפְּת֛וֹר אֲרַ֥ם נַהֲרַ֖יִם לְקַֽלְלֶֽךָּ׃
6. וְלֹֽא־אָבָ֞ה יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֨יךָ֙ לִשְׁמֹ֣עַ אֶל־בִּלְעָ֔ם וַיַּהֲפֹךְ֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֶ֧יךָ לְּךָ֛ אֶת־הַקְּלָלָ֖ה לִבְרָכָ֑ה כִּ֥י אֲהֵֽבְךָ֖ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃
7. לֹא־תִדְרֹ֥שׁ שְׁלֹמָ֖ם וְטֹבָתָ֑ם כָּל־יָמֶ֖יךָ לְעוֹלָֽם׃ ס
8. לֹֽא־תְתַעֵ֣ב אֲדֹמִ֔י כִּ֥י אָחִ֖יךָ ה֑וּא ס לֹא־תְתַעֵ֣ב מִצְרִ֔י כִּי־גֵ֖ר הָיִ֥יתָ בְאַרְצֽוֹ׃
9. בָּנִ֛ים אֲשֶׁר־יִוָּלְד֥וּ לָהֶ֖ם דּ֣וֹר שְׁלִישִׁ֑י יָבֹ֥א לָהֶ֖ם בִּקְהַ֥ל יְהוָֽה׃ ס
10. כִּֽי־תֵצֵ֥א מַחֲנֶ֖ה עַל־אֹיְבֶ֑יךָ וְנִ֨שְׁמַרְתָּ֔ מִכֹּ֖ל דָּבָ֥ר רָֽע׃
11. כִּֽי־יִהְיֶ֤ה בְךָ֙ אִ֔ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹא־יִהְיֶ֥ה טָה֖וֹר מִקְּרֵה־לָ֑יְלָה וְיָצָא֙ אֶל־מִח֣וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה לֹ֥א יָבֹ֖א אֶל־תּ֥וֹךְ הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃
12. וְהָיָ֥ה לִפְנֽוֹת־עֶ֖רֶב יִרְחַ֣ץ בַּמָּ֑יִם וּכְבֹ֣א הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ יָבֹ֖א אֶל־תּ֥וֹךְ הַֽמַּחֲנֶה׃
13. וְיָד֙ תִּהְיֶ֣ה לְךָ֔ מִח֖וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה וְיָצָ֥אתָ שָׁ֖מָּה חֽוּץ׃
14. וְיָתֵ֛ד תִּהְיֶ֥ה לְךָ֖ עַל־אֲזֵנֶ֑ךָ וְהָיָה֙ בְּשִׁבְתְּךָ֣ ח֔וּץ וְחָפַרְתָּ֣ה בָ֔הּ וְשַׁבְתָּ֖ וְכִסִּ֥יתָ אֶת־צֵאָתֶֽךָ׃
15. כִּי֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ מִתְהַלֵּ֣ךְ ׀ בְּקֶ֣רֶב מַחֲנֶ֗ךָ לְהַצִּֽילְךָ֙ וְלָתֵ֤ת אֹיְבֶ֨יךָ֙ לְפָנֶ֔יךָ וְהָיָ֥ה מַחֲנֶ֖יךָ קָד֑וֹשׁ וְלֹֽא־יִרְאֶ֤ה בְךָ֙ עֶרְוַ֣ת דָּבָ֔ר וְשָׁ֖ב מֵאַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃ ס
16. לֹא־תַסְגִּ֥יר עֶ֖בֶד אֶל־אֲדֹנָ֑יו אֲשֶׁר־יִנָּצֵ֥ל אֵלֶ֖יךָ מֵעִ֥ם אֲדֹנָֽיו׃
17. עִמְּךָ֞ יֵשֵׁ֣ב בְּקִרְבְּךָ֗ בַּמָּק֧וֹם אֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַ֛ר בְּאַחַ֥ד שְׁעָרֶ֖יךָ בַּטּ֣וֹב ל֑וֹ לֹ֖א תּוֹנֶֽנּוּ׃ ס
18. לֹא־תִהְיֶ֥ה קְדֵשָׁ֖ה מִבְּנ֣וֹת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלֹֽא־יִהְיֶ֥ה קָדֵ֖שׁ מִבְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
19. לֹא־תָבִיא֩ אֶתְנַ֨ן זוֹנָ֜ה וּמְחִ֣יר כֶּ֗לֶב בֵּ֛ית יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ לְכָל־נֶ֑דֶר כִּ֧י תוֹעֲבַ֛ת יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ גַּם־שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃
20. לֹא־תַשִּׁ֣יךְ לְאָחִ֔יךָ נֶ֥שֶׁךְ כֶּ֖סֶף נֶ֣שֶׁךְ אֹ֑כֶל נֶ֕שֶׁךְ כָּל־דָּבָ֖ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִשָּֽׁךְ׃
21. לַנָּכְרִ֣י תַשִּׁ֔יךְ וּלְאָחִ֖יךָ לֹ֣א תַשִּׁ֑יךְ לְמַ֨עַן יְבָרֶכְךָ֜ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ בְּכֹל֙ מִשְׁלַ֣ח יָדֶ֔ךָ עַל־הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּ֥ה בָא־שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃ ס
22. כִּֽי־תִדֹּ֥ר נֶ֨דֶר֙ לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ לֹ֥א תְאַחֵ֖ר לְשַׁלְּמ֑וֹ כִּֽי־דָּרֹ֨שׁ יִדְרְשֶׁ֜נּוּ יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֨יךָ֙ מֵֽעִמָּ֔ךְ וְהָיָ֥ה בְךָ֖ חֵֽטְא׃
23. וְכִ֥י תֶחְדַּ֖ל לִנְדֹּ֑ר לֹֽא־יִהְיֶ֥ה בְךָ֖ חֵֽטְא׃
24. מוֹצָ֥א שְׂפָתֶ֖יךָ תִּשְׁמֹ֣ר וְעָשִׂ֑יתָ כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר נָדַ֜רְתָּ לַיהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֨יךָ֙ נְדָבָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּ֖רְתָּ בְּפִֽיךָ׃ ס
25. כִּ֤י תָבֹא֙ בְּכֶ֣רֶם רֵעֶ֔ךָ וְאָכַלְתָּ֧ עֲנָבִ֛ים כְּנַפְשְׁךָ֖ שָׂבְעֶ֑ךָ וְאֶֽל־כֶּלְיְךָ֖ לֹ֥א תִתֵּֽן׃ ס
26. כִּ֤י תָבֹא֙ בְּקָמַ֣ת רֵעֶ֔ךָ וְקָטַפְתָּ֥ מְלִילֹ֖ת בְּיָדֶ֑ךָ וְחֶרְמֵשׁ֙ לֹ֣א תָנִ֔יף עַ֖ל קָמַ֥ת רֵעֶֽךָ׃ ס

1. Nul ne prendra la femme de son père et ne soulèvera la couverture du lit de son père.
2. Celui dont les testicules ont été écrasés ou dont l’urètre a été coupé n’entrera pas dans l’assemblée de Yahweh.
3. Le fruit d’une union illicite n’entrera pas dans l’assemblée de Yahweh; même sa dixième génération n’entrera pas dans l’assemblée de Yahweh.
4. L’Ammonite et le Moabite n’entreront pas dans l’assemblée de Yahweh; même la dixième génération n’entrera pas dans l’assemblée de Yahweh, ils n’y entreront jamais,
5. parce qu’ils ne sont pas venu au-devant de vous avec du pain et de l’eau, sur le chemin, lorsque vous sortiez d’Égypte, et parce que le roi de Moab a fait venir contre toi à prix d’argent Balaam, fils de Béor, de Péthor en Mésopotamie, pour te maudire.
6. Mais Yahweh, ton Dieu, n’a pas voulu écouter Balaam, et Yahweh, ton Dieu, a changé pour toi la malédiction en bénédiction, car Yahweh, ton Dieu, t’aime.
7. Tu n’auras souci ni de leur prospérité ni de leur bien-être, tant que tu vivras, à perpétuité.
8. Tu n’auras pas en abomination l’Edomite, car il est ton frère ; tu n’auras pas en abomination l’Egyptien, car tu as été étranger dans son pays :
9. les fils qui leur naîtront pourront, à la troisième génération, entrer dans l’assemblée de Yahweh.
10. Quand tu marcheras en campements contre tes ennemis, garde-toi de toute chose mauvaise.
11. S’il y a chez toi un homme qui ne soit pas pur, par suite d’un accident nocturne, il sortira du camp, et ne rentrera pas au milieu du camp ;
12. sur le soir, il se baignera dans l’eau et, après le coucher du soleil, il pourra rentrer au milieu du camp.
13. Tu auras un lieu hors du camp, et c’est là dehors que tu iras.
14. Tu auras dans ton bagage une pelle avec laquelle tu feras un creux, quand tu iras t’asseoir à l’écart, et, en partant, tu recouvriras tes excréments.
15. Car Yahweh, ton Dieu, marche au milieu de ton camp, pour te protéger et pour livrer tes ennemis devant toi ; ton camp doit donc être saint, afin que Yahwehne voie chez toi rien de malséant et qu’il ne se détourne pas de toi.
16. Tu ne livreras pas à son maître un esclave qui se sera enfui d’avec son maître et réfugié auprès de toi.
17. Il demeurera avec toi, au milieu de ton pays, dans le lieu qu’il choisira, dans l’une de tes villes, où il se trouvera bien : tu ne l’opprimeras pas.
18. Il n’y aura pas de prostituée parmi les filles d’Israël, et il n’y aura pas de prostitué parmi les fils d’Israël.
19. Tu n’apporteras pas dans la maison de Yahweh, ton Dieu, le salaire d’une prostituée ni le salaire d’un chien, pour l’accomplissement d’un vœu quelconque ; car l’un et l’autre sont en abomination à Yahweh, ton Dieu.
20. Tu n’exigeras de ton frère aucun intérêt ni pour argent, ni pour vivres, ni pour aucune chose qui se prête à intérêt.
21. Tu peux exiger un intérêt de l’étranger, mais tu n’en tireras pas de ton frère, afin que Yahweh, ton Dieu, te bénisse dans tout ce que tu entreprendras, dans le pays où tu vas entrer pour le posséder.
22. Quand tu auras fait un vœu à Yahweh, ton Dieu, tu ne tarderas pas à l’accomplir ; sinon, Yahweh, ton Dieu, t’en demanderait certainement compte, et tu serais chargé d’un péché.
23. Si tu t’abstiens de faire des vœux, il n’y aura pas en toi de péché.
24. Mais la parole sortie de tes lèvres, tu la garderas et l’accompliras, selon le vœu que tu auras fait librement à Yahweh, ton Dieu, et que tu auras prononcé de ta bouche.
25. Quand tu entreras dans la vigne de ton prochain, tu pourras manger des raisins selon ton désir et t’en rassasier, mais tu n’en mettras pas dans ton panier.
26. Si tu entres dans les blés de ton prochain, tu pourras cueillir des épis avec la main, mais tu ne mettras pas la faucille dans les blés de ton prochain.

1. He who is emasculated by crushing or cutting shall not enter into the LORD’s assembly.
2. A person born of a forbidden union shall not enter into the LORD’s assembly; even to the tenth generation shall no one of his enter into the LORD’s assembly.
3. An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into the LORD’s assembly; even to the tenth generation shall no one belonging to them enter into the LORD’s assembly forever,
4. because they didn’t meet you with bread and with water on the way when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.
5. Nevertheless the LORD your God wouldn’t listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because the LORD your God loved you.
6. You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.
7. You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother. You shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.
8. The children of the third generation who are born to them may enter into the LORD’s assembly.
9. When you go out and camp against your enemies, then you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.
10. If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of that which happens to him by night, then shall he go outside of the camp. He shall not come within the camp;
11. but it shall be, when evening comes, he shall bathe himself in water. When the sun is down, he shall come within the camp.
12. You shall have a place also outside of the camp where you go relieve yourself.
13. You shall have a trowel among your weapons. It shall be, when you relieve yourself, you shall dig with it, and shall turn back and cover your excrement;
14. for the LORD your God walks in the middle of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you. Therefore your camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.
15. You shall not deliver to his master a servant who has escaped from his master to you.
16. He shall dwell with you, among you, in the place which he shall choose within one of your gates, where it pleases him best. You shall not oppress him.
17. There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
18. You shall not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the wages of a male prostitute, into the house of the LORD your God for any vow; for both of these are an abomination to the LORD your God.
19. You shall not lend on interest to your brother: interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent on interest.
20. You may charge a foreigner interest; but you shall not charge your brother interest, that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.
21. When you vow a vow to the LORD your God, you shall not be slack to pay it, for the LORD your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.
22. But if you refrain from making a vow, it shall be no sin in you.
23. You shall observe and do that which has gone out of your lips. Whatever you have vowed to the LORD your God as a free will offering, which you have promised with your mouth, you must do.
24. When you come into your neighbor’s vineyard, then you may eat your fill of grapes at your own pleasure; but you shall not put any in your container.
25. When you come into your neighbor’s standing grain, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not use a sickle on your neighbor’s standing grain.
