Veredelung der Wirklichkeit. - Dadurch, dass die Menschen in dem aphrodisischen Triebe eine Gottheit sahen und ihn mit anbetender Dankbarkeit in sich wirkend fühlten, ist im Verlaufe der Zeit jener Affect mit höheren Vorstellungsreihen durchzogen und dadurch thatsächlich sehr veredelt worden.
