“And how do ships, having sailed from harbors, put in at other harbors? How does the skeptic who denies motion leave his house in the morning, transact some business of daily life, and then return?” All these are indisputable indications of motion. Hence one of the ancient Cynics, when questioned about the arguments against motion, made no reply but stood up and walked about, reproaching the sophist’s folly by evident experience itself.
