Εἰ δὲ ἀναστρέψαντες λέγοιεν μὴ τὸν ἀκριβῆ χρόνον λαμβάνεσθαι ἀλλὰ τὸν ὁλοσχερῆ καὶ ἐν πλάτει, ὑπʼ αὐ- τῶν σχεδὸν ἐλεγχθήσονται τῶν ἀποτελεσμάτων· οἱ γὰρ ἐν τῷ αὐτῷ καθʼ ὁλοσχέρειαν χρόνῳ γεννηθέντες οὐ τὸν αὐτὸν ἔζησαν βίον, ἀλλʼ οἱ μὲν λόγου χάριν ἐβασίλευσαν οἱ δὲ ἐν πέδαις κατεγήρασαν.
