5. On Fire
Food
“Both gods and humans
enjoy their food.
So what’s the name of the spirit
who doesn’t enjoy food?”
“Those who give with faith
and a clear and confident heart,
partake of food
in this world and the next.
So you should dispel stinginess,
overcoming that stain, and give a gift.
The good deeds of sentient beings
support them in the next world.”

5. En feu
Nourriture
« Les dieux comme les humains
jouissent de leur nourriture.
Quel est donc le nom de l’esprit
qui ne jouit pas de la nourriture ? »
« Ceux qui donnent avec foi,
le cœur clair et confiant,
prennent part à la nourriture
dans ce monde et dans l’autre.
Tu devrais donc dissiper l’avarice,
surmonter cette tache et faire un don.
Les bonnes actions des êtres sensibles
les soutiennent dans l’autre monde. »
