Epicurus, Strato the physicist, and their followers, who retain only two things, what signifies and the object, appear to adhere to the second position and to locate truth and falsehood in the utterance. The last opinion, by which I mean the one that places truth in the movement of thought, seems to have been fabricated scholastically.
